Nothing could have kept Gaston Cuvelier from making his dream of discovering the charms of the Belgian coast from coming true. And yet… nothing will go as planned. Drifting from hesitation to procrastination, from startling encounters to strange coincidences, from surprises to new developments, he will be tossed about by fate until the moment when he discovers that it isn’t just chance and bad luck in league against him, but that a veritable plot has been hatched in his name. Though he hasn’t the slightest idea what the point of it is.
As the obstacles pile up, Gaston struggles as best he can to escape the trap closing in on him. A headlong dash that leads him to do just about anything. He even winds up agreeing to appear in a reality game show on TV – which tells you just how desperate he is.

In this burlesque, explosively suspenseful story, we will explore the anxiety of those of our contemporaries who choose to believe rather than to know, who would rather hang onto a comfortable idea the better to escape from reality. But what if it turned out that it was actually reality that was escaping from us, and that it was all nothing but a big hoax?
