Anne Luthaud

Anne Luthaud participated in the founding of the Fémis (France’s leading film school), and was the school’s director of studies from 1986 to 1992. She then went on to work in publishing, both as a lexicographer and as a collection editor. She also ran the journal Cinémas croisés.
Her previous novel, Les Épinards crus (Raw Spinachs), was published in 2013. As a playwright, Le Bleu de Madeleine (Madeleine Blue) was nominated for a children’s theatre Molière Award in 2007. She also writes radio plays for France Culture.
A National Book Center Fellow in 2003, she has run since 2011 the Cinematographic Research and Essays Group, which produces directors’ first films.
