Roland Topor

Author/artist Roland Topor (1938-1997) was born in Paris of Polish immigrant parents. He enrolled in Beaux-Arts, and his drawings and tales were first published in magazines like Bizarre, Arts, Rire, Fiction.
From 1961 to 1965, he contributed to Hara-Kiri magazine and founded the Panique group with Arrabal, Jodorowsky and Sternberg. He later participated in many exhibits in France and around Europe, including the Panique group’s 1972 exhibit at the Grand Palais in Paris.
