Sylvie Weil

Sylvie Weil is the daughter of the mathematician André Weil, and the niece of the philosopher Simone Weil. She was born in the USA and raised in Paris. She taught French literature at several American colleges. A writer, she has published books of short stories (À New York, il n’y a pas de tremblements de terre), novels (Le jardin de Dima, Les Vendanges de Rachi) and children’s books. Buchet/Chastel has published her books Chez les Weil (At Home with André and Simone Weil, 2009) and Le Hareng et le saxophone (2013).
