Florence Labruyère
  • Jovan Divjak was born in Belgrade 66 years ago. When war broke out, in 1992, he chose to defend Sarajevo and a multi-ethnic Bosnia against Serb extremists. Appointed vice-commander of the army of Bosnia-Herzegovina, then general, he stayed on the Muslim side throughout the war. He still lives in Sarajevo, where he has founded an organization called Education to Build Bosnia-Herzegovina that helps young victims of the war.
