Elena Balzamo

• Elena BALZAMO was born in Moscow and now lives in France. A specialist in Scandinavian and Russian literature, as well as an essayist, she teaches Swedish-to-French literary translation in Paris. She edited the Cahier de l'Herne devoted to Strindberg. She has received both the Swedish Academy’s 2001 Translating Prize and the Sévigné 2010-2011 Foreign Prize, and was made an officer in the Swedish Royal Order of the Polar Star in 2011. Cinq histories russes is her first book.
