In the USA in a very near future, after a series of incidents, the end of the world seems close. A panel of outstanding people try to avoid the worst. They identify four possible culprits. Two individuals (one a would be president, one a retired secret service agent) are selected to chase them around the world and neutralize them. Great suspense.
