L’Enfant de la colère
Michel Serfati

Nadia grew up without a father. When she turns 18, her mother informs her that his name was Nâzim, and that he was a Turkish immigrant in France. A member of a radical-left group, he died during an attack on a bank. Deeply affected by those revelations, Nadia decides to try to find out more about the life of the man who was her father. She gets in touch with his former comrades, many of whom have spent time in jail. That’s how she finds out about Anne, the great love of Nâzim’s life. Living in exile in Turkey in order to escape prosecution in France, she is waiting for the status of limitations on her case to expire. Nadia goes to meet her in Istanbul. But just four days before her slate will be wiped clean, Anne is arrested during a last-ditch operation by the French Ministry of the Interior and thrown in jail. Nadia, who has gone back to France, wants to help her, but doesn’t know how.
