Catherine Chalier
  • The author teaches philosophy at the University of Paris-Nanterre. She is principally interested in the Hebraic root of philosophy – she has translated several books from Hebrew – and seeks to demonstrate, in her own books, how interrogating that source allows us to renew our approach to important philosophical questions (nature, history, the senses, emotions…) She has also written several books on the ideas of Emmanuel Levinas, as well as a book called L’Écoute en partage about the dialogue between Judaism and Christianism.
