Annie Daubenton
  • Annie Daubenton, journalist, essayist, independent researcher in Ukraine, was a former cultural counselor in Kiev and Radio-France’s full-time correspondent in Moscow. She is the author of several books and articles, including Russie, l’Etat carnivore (Russia, the Carnivorous State) (Denoël, 1998), Société civile en Ukraine: les vigiles de la démocratie (Civil Society in Ukraine: the Watchdogs of Democracy), in L’Ukraine, nouvel acteur du jeu international (L’Ukraine, New Player on the International Playing Field) (Bruxelles, Ed. Bruylant, 2000) and Russie, d’un Etat l’autre (Russia, from One State to Another) (Aube, 1996). She contributes to a variety of scholarly journals, including Esprit, La vie des idées, and Alternatives internationales.
